Lacquer, nail polish, or similar material applied to the back of the cel, intended to prevent paint from cracking, or to hold already cracked, loose paint in place. Both animation and sealant can bause color fading or mottling in paint. If desired, can usually be removed by a professional.

Much like Jesus of Nazareth, whose portrait hangs inside Rock Creek Community Church, Stan McLauchlin likes to work with wood. Now retired, the Twin Falls resident is using his hobby to help boost the image of the church, where he is a member.
